I’ve loved having short hair for the past few years. I have felt sleek, sassy, sexy, and at times simple. I tried to grow my hair out a few times and once it got to that weird in between stage I would cut it. I’ve seen and worked with a few different type of extensions. Overall I was not crazy about the maintenance and feel of extensions. I didn’t consider them for many reasons for myself and didn’t push them on my clients. Unless I knew the client would keep up with them and could afford the maintenance. I saw and heard horror stories about extensions creating bald spots and breakage due to the glue/keratin used to adhere them to the hair. Until now! Short to Long I-Tip extensions are the answer for me and ourclients. Finally something that is affordable, comfortable, and does not distress the hair. I had them put in my hair a few months ago to add some bulk and length to my hair that i’ve been trying to grow out. I took them out last week and due to my surprise my hair was longer and there was no breakage! This morning we put in a whole new set to make my hair evenlonger, and i’m so excited and satisfied that I had to share it with everyone. I have my dream hair! Especially those who are skeptical and or who have had a bad experience with extensions. These are awesome. How do you shampoo your hair? Seems like a silly question. Herbal Essence commercials along with many others lead us to believe that applying shampoo throughout our hair from roots to ends is the proper way to shampoo our hair. Stylists and people throughout the world have been mislead on how to shampoo your hair. Hair grows from the scalp. Our scalp is what is dirty, It is not necessary to apply shampoo directly on ends. Product sits on the hair shaft and when the shampoo runs down our hair the product will come off with it. Shampoo will dry out your ends and suck all the natural oils out. So apply shampoo to your scalp only and apply conditioner to your ends from your ear down. This will truely improve the condition of your hair. Conditioner actually acts as an adherent to dirt and oil so it will help take out unecessary oil/dirt. If you are one who uses alot of product you may use a clarifying shampoo every few shampoos to help prevent buildup. Not only will you save on shampoo, but your blowouts/styles will last longer and your hair will be happy healthy hair! Have a great day, Sabrina K

Do you drink diet soda? This can be the culprit to your hair loss.

You might think you’re doing yourself a favor by drinking Diet Coke as opposed to regular. While diet soda may contain fewer calories, it contains aspartame, a controversial artificial sweetener that may be toxic and hazardous to your health. Aspartame consumption has been linked to many unpleasant side effects, including hair loss.

Exactly why or how aspartame causes hair loss is not clear. More research is needed. Many aspartame victims comment on Dr. Hull’s website forum regarding their specific hair loss experience. Many victims have discovered the correlation between aspartame and hair loss unintentionally. While drinking a considerable amount of diet soda, hair loss symptoms began or worsened. When victims cut back or quit completely, they said their hair loss symptoms stopped or improved. Dr. Hull feels that the methanol in aspartame is damaging to healthy hair growth. She feels that if you discontinue the consumption of all aspartame-containing products, you should see improvements in six weeks

Eliminating soda all together would benefit your health.

Eat a balanced diet that includes sufficient protein and iron, which are important for healthy hair. After all we are what we eat!

EuroModa Hair Design is hosting its annual “LOCKS OF LOVE CUT-A-THON” on Saturday, March 26 from 9am till 4-m. The event will be held on location at EuroModa Hair Design in the Sarasota Commons Shopping Center, which is located at 935 North Beneva Road, Suite 717 in Sarasota, Florida.

Locks of Love

Locks of Love is an organization that provides wigs and hair pieces for children with medical hair loss, under the age of 18, at little to no cost to the individual or their families. They meet a unique need for these children by using donated hair to create the highest quality hair prosthetics.

Sarasota Cut-A-Thon

Our “LOCKS OF LOVE CUT-A-THON” will collect hair that will be used to create these wigs and hair pieces. During our last event, we collected over 70 feet of donated hair. Our goal is to collect even more hair this year!
